warby parker gives you the freedom to try on their spectacles while you: wash dishes, hang out with friends, sing along to the radio, dice onions for guacamole, ride a bike, and so much more. with warby parker's 'home try-on' option you get to pick out 5 frames from their catalog and for only $1 they will mail the glasses to you. once you've received the frames you have 5 days to hang out with them and see if you like any. if you do, then you pay $95 for the frames and they'll pop in a pair of lenses with your prescription too. if you don't, then place the frames into the postage paid mailer and send them back. the best part? similar to toms shoes business model, warby parker has a 'buy a pair, give a pair' program, and so far they've been able to donate over 50,000 glasses to people who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford them.
even though i have glasses already i thought i'd give this a whirl. it's only a buck and if i do buy from warby parker i know someone who needs a pair of glasses will soon get them.
