my mom was 6 months pregnant with me during the blizzard of '78, which dumped over 3 feet of snow in certain parts of new england. the northeast is getting pummeled with a blizzard right now as i type this very blog post. my dad's plowing, my mom's shoveling and their 12 year old pug, walter, is trotting through snowdrifts taller than me.

i miss snow days so much.
